SPEC*KC pricing is transparently reported in a total cost (bundled) format on the scheduling portal. You understand the costs by location before scheduling the procedure.
Our current fee for service model is not priced transparently, billing is fragmented across multiple claim forms, and the amount paid by an employer/employee can vary significantly bases upon the site of service – which is not visible to the employer/employee when scheduling the procedure.

The bundled rates within the SPEC*KC Network represent significant cost savings to employers and plan members for many services, including imaging, orthopedic, gastroenterology, laparoscopic, infusion, etc.
Advantage # 3 – Ease of Scheduling
The SPEC*KC MSO through its relationship with HealthJoy will provide ongoing care navigation support to plan members. We can answer questions about specialist options, assist with scheduling the appointments, and provide appointment reminders with the HealthJoy app.

Quality reporting within the health care industry is in its early stages, with new models constantly evolving. Our approach is to engage our caregivers directly to define “quality” outcomes across the various procedures represented within our Network, in addition to other data collected by CMS, and then measure and report accordingly to employers.
